The Tenafly Bicycle Workshop is proud to present:
Joe Iurato
:01 Art Exhibit
October 24th -- December 7th, 2009
Please join us at Bicycle Workshop for an opening and reception on Saturday , October 24th, 4:00 - 7:00pm at the shop.
Joe Iurato
...is a New Jersey based artist who works primarily with hand-drawn, hand-cut stencils, acrylic and spray paint applied to reclaimed wooden cabinetry, found objects, wooden panels, and the occasional cement wall. His work reflects a broad range of subject matter, from night climbers to urban textures to children’s portraits, yet all of it shares the same weathered vibe of art that’s been placed on a city street to collaborate with the elements and time.
The Bicycle Workshop is presenting the final installment of Joe’s “:01” exhibitions, a series that began at Café Eclectic in Montclair, NJ this past May and has since been traveling to venues throughout New York and New Jersey. During the :01 exhibits, Joe is working closely with Wine For Water, a non-profit organization that is currently installing clean-water drinking wells in some of the most impoverished regions of Ethiopia. 25% of all proceeds from original art sold will be donated to the Wine For Water.
